On the 16th of November, some of the DECA students travelled to the United States, specifically to Boston in order to go to a conference. During our stay, we visited the city, went to the fine arts museum, visited MIT and Harvard university, visited the city and went to see the Boston Celtics play at an NBA game. We went shopping and most importantly, participated in the conference.  We attended different workshops that were based on Marketing and Business topics. We had many opportunities to talk to emerging leaders from across the United States and other countries to form meaningful connections. The best thing about the trip was that all of the DECA students were in the same hotel and the conference was also held at the same hotel, which made our experience even more exciting. When talking about workshops, we chose which ones we wanted to go to based on our interest. Some of the workshops that were available included planning events, the secret to maximizing team efficiency, preparing for college and many more. The conference started off on Thursday with an incredible opening ceremony in which Eddie Slowikowski spoke and gave us an incredible speech that we will always remember. After this, we had the chance to meet DECA members and enjoy the night with them. Overall, the experience was amazing and thanks to our awesome teachers Mrs, Trini and Dr. Justyna (who planned the trip), we had an amazing time in Boston.
