Teaching and Learning in IB Programs
PYP
The Primary Years Program (PYP) ensures that learning is engaging, relevant, challenging, and meaningful. These aspects of learning, which are based on an authentic and integrated assessment, are encompassed in a transdisciplinary and conceptual inquiry approach.
MYP:
The MYP aims to develop young people who take an active role in their learning and are internationally minded, while being able to empathize with others and give their lives purpose and meaning.
The program provides students with the tools necessary to inquire into a wide variety of issues and ideas of local, national, and global importance. As a result, young people become creative, critical and reflective thinkers.
DP
The DP curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the core components: Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS), and the Monograph.
Through these core components, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, conduct independent research, and undertake a project that often involves community service activities.
