The American School of Bilbao has adopted the International Baccalaureate Curriculum Framework to underpin our academic programs. We are authorized to offer the Primary Years Programme and the Diploma Programme. The Middle School has arrived at a crucial stage for the validation of our Middle Years Programme. With the Verification Visit, ASB is one step closer to becoming an IB World School.

On 19 – 20 April 2021, we will virtually host two highly experienced IB Educators to verify that ASB reaches the standards of excellence required by the IB to run all three programs at our school.

The verification visit will be a virtual one and involve all of the MYP Faculty, Members of the Senior Leadership Team, and Ms. Nina Franco, our MYP Coordinator. Most importantly, however, it will involve our MYP Students and their parents. I want to take this opportunity to thank every one of our stakeholders for their positive support and investment in this vital process, especially during the COVID-19 Pandemic, which is unprecedented. This commitment to excellence demonstrates what a wonderful ASB school community we have. My sincere thanks to all of the MYP Teachers for actively participating in this complex and detailed process.
