MYP 1 Spanish
“The best day of my life”, “you have inspired me to never give up and pursue my dreams”, “you have encouraged me to read and write stories again”, “I did not sleep thinking I was going to meet you”, “it has been a unique and unforgettable experience”, “I will never forget your visit”, “what an illusion to have met you”, “I got home and I could not stop reading all afternoon”, “your books have made me travel, keep writing here you will always have a reader”.
These are some of the many words of thanks from MYP1 students, they are a reflection of the experience they lived on Thursday with Lola Gil, the author of the young adult novel “El tesoro de Don”.
At the beginning of the school year, we started with the adventure of Lola’s books, as her MYP2 classmates experienced it for the first time last year, and, according to what they say, they were looking forward to September to start reading. We assigned Fridays as “Viernes de meditemar,” book pirate camp. As we progressed through her reading, we contacted the author. To ask about her availability this year and if she could come and meet our students this year. Each student wrote a letter expressing their appreciation for the novel they were reading. Lola, infected by the enthusiasm and dedication of our students, did not want to miss the opportunity to meet them and be with them.
So on Thursday, March 16, thanks to the involvement, dedication and enthusiasm of the students, Lola came to meet the pirates of MYP 1.
These are some of the photos of this special day for our students.
