Dear Parents,

As a native New Yorker, we think we have seen it all. I had the incredible opportunity to witness the Gabarra celebration for the Athletic win in the Spanish Cup Competition. The energy and enthusiasm displayed by the fans during this celebration were truly awe-inspiring. From the colorful banners adorning the streets to the joyful chants echoing through the air, it was evident that this victory meant a great deal to the community, especially after 40 years since their last victory.

I was particularly impressed by the sense of unity and pride that permeated the atmosphere. Families gathered together, friends embraced in jubilation, and strangers became instant comrades as they celebrated this momentous occasion. It was heartwarming to see people of all ages and backgrounds coming together to share in the joy of their beloved football team’s success.

The sight of the Gabarra making its way down the river, adorned with the red and white of the team colors and filled with passionate supporters, was a sight I will never forget. The roar of the crowd, the waving of flags, and the sounds of traditional chants created an electrifying ambiance that encapsulated the spirit of Bilbao.

I feel honored to be in this city allowing me to share in the joy of the Athletic´s victory. The passion and pride are truly infectious, and I feel privileged to have experienced it firsthand.
