Message from the Director
Dear Families,
It´s hard to imagine that we are heading to the end of November. One can see the Christmas decorations in many streets and stores around the city and the excitement is slowly building for the holiday.
Next Thursday will be Thanksgiving in the United States. Many Americans will travel back home during this weekend to reunite with old friends and spend time with all their family members. It is one of the busiest holidays back in the States and culminates the beginning of the Christmas season.
We celebrate Thanksgiving to give thanks for the events of the past year. During Thanksgiving, the entire family sits together and feast on the traditional turkey dinner. While being gathered, family members take turns in saying what they are thankful for.
Here at ASB we are thankful for many things as we reflect:
We are thankful for the students who come in everyday ready and eager to learn. We enjoy seeing them progress by the day and becoming fantastic individuals who will become productive in our society.
We are thankful for the support of the parents who help build an excellent community and for having the confidence in us to play an important role in their child(ren)s life. Thank you for always being present in every school event and being a partner for the education, safety, and well-being of your child.
We are grateful for the teachers, aides, secretaries, lunch staff and administrators who go above and beyond in seeing our students succeed. We have a dedicated and hard-working staff that make a difference in our school and are responsible for our fantastic achievements.
I am thankful for being able to play a role in your lives and be part of this incredible journey. We´ve come a long way, but there is still plenty to do.
Wishing you all a great weekend and a Happy Thanksgiving.
Regards,
Rafael Trinidad
