Message from the Director

Dear Parents,

As we reach the end of the year, we begin to celebrate our achievements as a school.  Tomorrow we will host the Graduation for the class of 2022 and on Monday the 5th Grade Graduation.  This marks the next steps in our students lives.  One moving on to universities studies and the other to secondary school.

No school year is perfect as we have had our ups and downs during this pandemic, especially since our return from Winter Break.  But we will always strive to offer our students the best education possible for them to have every opportunity offered to them.

This past week an article was printed in El Correo, highlighting the achievements of Angel Cabrera, The President of Georgia Tech University.  Mr. Cabrera is from Madrid and a graduate of Georgia Tech.   He is the first Hispanic president in the history of the school and Georgia Tech is considered one of the top Universities in the States.

We are fortunate to have had two students attend this prestigious institution.  Borja Vicinay class of 2016 and Lander Schillinger class of 2021.  After we were allowed to travel again, we took the opportunity to participate in the 2022 DECA ICDC which took place in Atlanta, Georgia.  We met up with Lander at the University to give us a tour of the campus for our students.  When Mr. Cabrera heard that there was a delegation from Spain, he took time off his busy schedule to meet with us.

It was an honor to have an opportunity to meet and chat with Mr. Cabrera and a wonderful experience for our students.

Moving forward, next year we will officially be a full continuum school offering IB curriculum in all grades.  Everything is a work in progress, but the reward of hard work sure pays off.

Quick reminder that on Tuesday June 21st is a half a day.  School ends at 12:00.

Now that we have arrived at the end of this academic year, we all here at ASB would like to wish you all a great summer break.  Believe me when I say we all deserve it!
