Letter from the Director

Dear Families,

As a community of students, parents, faculty, and staff, I am proud of how we have come together during this academic year.  Many schools around the world, have been running 100% virtual or on some form of alternating schedule.  We at ASB have been so fortunate to have been able to have classes in person throughout this entire year.  Although the conditions were less than ideal, this model has had a positive impact on the teaching and learning taking place in our school.

On behalf of all of us at ASB, we would like to thank our students for being such troopers and parents for all your support throughout.

Despite limitations due to this Global Pandemic, we still managed to accomplish some pretty significant things. This is a testament to the commitment and dedication our team has to our school.

As a community it was not our choice for the recent pandemic to play such a large role in our life, but we each had a choice in how we responded.  Our mission was to maintain a safe environment while continuing to strive towards excellence.

After years of hard work and preparation, we made the decision to pursue our goal of becoming an IB Continuum School, ready to face any hurdles head on as they may arise.   I am proud to say, we accomplished that goal and have already begun to see the positive shifts in our organization…and this is just the beginning.

Congratulations to our graduating Class of 2021! Keep in touch, we always look forward to hearing from you in the future.

In addition, I would like to give a special thank you to the School Board for their time and dedication during these past 15 months.  I am certain that we wouldn´t have accomplished many of our goals without their support. We are fortunate to have a fantastic group of parents who go above and beyond for the betterment of our school.

This pandemic has shown us the strength and resilience that this community possesses.  I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you.  Have a great summer and see you in September.

Kind regards,

Rafael Trinidad
