Women's Day

On the 8th of March, Women’s Day took place. In ASB, we value this day because it is the focal point in the movement for women’s rights.

Start

End

The American Socialist Party organized a Women’s Day on February 28, 1909 in New York. After this, in 1910, during the conference of International Socialists Woman’s, Clara Zetkin, a German revolutionary proposed that the 8th of March should be honored as a day annually in memory of working women. Now a days, we still celebrate this, and we dedicate it to reinforce women’s rights and fight for women’s equality. In school, all of the students got together, and we were all pleased of listening to some speeches about gender equality, and marked out how during the 21st century, women still struggle and have a long way until gaining equality.
