Last week, students from The American School of Bilbao participated in the international DECA competition, an organization focused on preparing students in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.

Each year, students from around the world participate in the well-known DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), where they present their business projects, share entrepreneurial ideas, and are examined in finance areas. With over 21,000 participants, the 2023 ICDC competition took place in Orlando, Florida. After working hard on their projects, the American School students qualified to participate in the championship.

During the competition, the group of young entrepreneurs had the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and present their business ideas to the judges. Here, they were able to represent the Basque Country, sharing knowledge about its cultures. Learning about professional development, students between the ages of 14 and 17 attended workshops and educational sessions on business management, helping them give their best in this competition.
