Covid Update

Covid Update

Dear Parents,

Since the return of our Upper School students on February 22, I am happy to report at this time of no positive Covid cases.  This is thankfully due to the effort from everyone in our community and our vigilant adherence to our protocols that has thus far prevented community spread at ASB.  Thank you for all that you have done to help our students and each other uphold our school pledge.

Of course, this is not a moment to celebrate as there is still an entire semester left in the school year.  When we opened for in-person instruction, we knew that there would be bumps in the road. Despite the low infection rates in our region since September, we noticed a difference in February with this contagious strain of the virus.  This reminds us that Covid is still present in our community and we must remain vigilant with our safety precautions.

At this moment a number of our teaching staff are receiving their first vaccine shot from Osakidetza and will receive their second around May and June.  Hopefully, this will mean a return to normalcy that has been so missed since the past year.

All in all, it has been a very successful year thus far, compared to many other schools in the region and around the world. The bottom line is to continue to fight for what is best for our students and our staff.

Thank you, for your cooperation and support as we continue to protect the health and safety of our community.

Regards,

Rafael Trinidad
