Bullring 2025: A Showcase of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Excellence
On the evening of Thursday, April 3, 2025, ASB proudly hosted the Fourth Edition of ASB’s Bullring—an exciting and highly anticipated entrepreneurship competition, created by Stephanie Trinidad, Activities Director and Justyna Przychodzen, IBDP Business Management Teacher—and for the past two years, in collaboration with Mondragon University. Held at the Bilbao Berrikuntza Faktoria (BBF), this year’s event brought together the creativity, critical thinking, and business ideas of our IBDP Year 1 students in front of a distinguished panel of judges and an engaged audience.
This year’s Bullring was an overwhelming success. Our student teams presented business proposals of remarkable quality, demonstrating not only strong entrepreneurial ideas but also polished public speaking skills in English. Their clarity, confidence, and ability to field questions from the judges highlighted the depth of their preparation and their commitment to excellence.
The panel of judges, composed of an American business professor from Deusto University, a business educator from Mondragon/LEINN, and a local CEO, commended the students for their professionalism, innovation, and enthusiasm. Each judge brought a unique perspective to the table, ensuring that feedback was rich and well-rounded.
We are delighted to announce that first place was awarded to Duella project by Alexey Bogachev, Mencia Ceniga, Zoe Sorensen Albisu, Paula Esteban Ruiz for their outstanding project on a website matching a tenant with a landlord renting an apartment. Their proposal was praised for its originality, feasibility, and clear articulation of market potential.
Second place went to Teen Travel Agency by Martina Fuentes, Cristina Crovetto, Mario Lopez Mateo, Blanca Gonzalez Gonzalez, whose project on a travel agency with blinded destinations for teenagers, impressed the panel with its thoughtful design and compelling pitch.
This initiative aims to foster real-world business thinking among students by challenging them to develop and present viable business ideas to a panel of industry professionals. The Bullring not only simulates a true startup pitch environment but also provides invaluable feedback and networking opportunities for our students.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and all participating teams for their dedication and courage to step into the spotlight. Their efforts reflect the entrepreneurial spirit we strive to cultivate at ASB, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.
We also thank Mondragon University for their continued support and collaboration, and we look forward to seeing how this event continues to grow in the years ahead.
