Every Friday in October all ASB staff and students will wear pink to support the fight against Breast Cancer. Our aim is to raise awareness of the disease and make it more visible. Also, we are hoping to honour our beloved colleague, Arancha Ramos, who lost her battle against the disease this past July. 

HOW YOU CAN HELP

CAS students are organising different activities around the theme: 

ACAMBI RACE

This year the race is not taking place in Bilbao due to COVID. Instead, people are encouraged to sign up, get a T-shirt and gather with a group around Vizcaya to make a “sea of pink” everywhere. 

We are in conversations with the city hall to ask for permission to meet at the Berango metro station and run or walk together on a 5K route around the school neighbourhood. We will keep you posted.

PINK RIBBON FUNDRAISER

If your children have nothing pink to wear, worry not. CAS students will be selling pink ribbons for a donation (you decide) every Friday in October at the beginning of the school day. The funds will go to ACAMBI (Asociación de Cáncer de Mama y/o Ginecológico de Bizkaia)

SPREAD THE WORD

Talk to your children about the disease and how we can help prevent it with early detection methods and regular visits to the specialist. We are hoping to hold information sessions by renowned researchers in the field this month.
