Our
Accreditations
The American School of Bilbao has been fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) since 1985.
Their accreditation serves the public well in that it is a guarantee that the school has continuously met and achieved improvements in serving its students through the school´s mission.
To achieve this status the school had to:
- Undergo a preliminary or preparatory visit to determinate its readiness for the accreditation process.
- Carry out an in-depth self-study over a one to two year period.
- Host a visiting team of professionals from other institutions who examine all aspects of the school´s operations.
- Demonstrate that it delivers that which it promises in its own mission and objectives.
- Demostrate that it meets the rigorous standards for accreditation laid down by CIS and NEASC.
