We recruit two types of teachers – for the regular program of instruction (preK – Grade 12) or for the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program. In the regular program, most courses are taught in English; however, some courses are taught in Spanish (Lengua y Literature, Ciencias sociales) and follow the Spanish curriculum. These courses increase in the 11th and 12th Grades when students are preparing for the Selectividad. If you file an application, please make it clear what type of position you are applying for, specifying the subject(s) and/or grade level(s).

If you are applying for a specific position announced on our website, be sure to indicate clearly the job posting identification number. A first application should include only a brief letter of motivation explaining what contribution you can make to the ASB community, and a CV no longer than two pages. We will contact you for further information if we take up your application. We receive many, many applications during the year and are not able to respond to each one. If after applying you do not hear from us within two weeks, you may assume we are not interested in your candidacy.
Non-EU candidates:
Hiring people who do not hold an EU passport is possible, but the process is long, taking generally up to 6 months to complete. Please bear this in mind in terms of when to file your application.

- Comfort with significant parental involvement and presence of visitors to the school and classes
