One of the greatest successes of ASB has been the creation of its E.F.L. (English as a Foreign Language) Department. Founded in 1984, it offers English language classes to children and adolescents from other schools in the Bilbao area.Our function is not to help students through their English exams- it is to enable them to communicate in English. A child learns his/her native language by listening, observing, contextualizing, understanding and repeating.
Our aim is to create the conditions and atmosphere in which they can learn a second language the same way and at the same time have fun. We teach, not only in a standard classroom situation, but also through activities. These range from sport, computers, cooking, art and crafts, nutrition, dance and many more.
The EFL department offers both a Winter ( Saturday morning and Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and a Summer Programme (July morning & afternoon and August morning).
