The American School of Bilbao is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). To achieve this status the school has had to:
• Undergo a preliminary or preparatory visit to determinate its readiness for the accreditation process.
• Carry out an in-depth Self-Study over a one to two year period.
• Host a visiting team of profesionals from other institutions who examine all aspects of the school´s operations.
• Demostrate that it delivers that which it promises in its own Philosophy and Objectives.
• Demostrate that it meets the rigorous standards for accreditation laid down by CIS and NEASC.
